Looking For First Mod

Hey Guys, I'm a 16 Year Old Max owner from Texas, I've had my Max since I guess sept 2001, and just recently I have been looking at mods. THe most appealing first mod I've been looking at is a new exhaust. I was wondering if you had any suggestions as far as that goes. I'm loking for the stereotypical teenage thing. Nice, Semi Loud sound(not facilitated by leaks in the flex as mine happens to be now) and a maybe a power increase. As far as sound goes, I've looked at the revolutoin tunable exhausts, and for power i've looked at Dynomax, and Stillen. Any suggestions on this or any other cool mods would be appreciated. Also, my max is the only one i've seen that has a 3300 emblem on the engine as opposed to the 3000....i'm deeply confused.

Also Looking for other suggestions for things such as Body Kits, Lighting and Appearance etc. Sorry For the lengthy sermon.

Welcome to Maxima.org

A Y-pipe will be your best bet for power gains.

Read the stickies at the top of the messages, read the FAQ. They will answer most of your questions. Also search. Turbo'ing a Max has been brought up 12382164783048932 times.

I want to see this engine. Talk to DNas420 and ask him to host some pics or something. Just get us some pics cause I've never heard of that before, not in a maxima anyway...

Maybe check out www.magnaflow.com I heard a few people like these mufflers, a couple don't. They're straight-through design, which lends itself to good power gains and typically much more noise than a baffled muffler, but they claim to be quieter than a typical straight-through muffler. In any case, just removing the stock resonator and replacing it with a section of pipe alone will yeild more noise if that's something you're after. I'd be inclined to leave it in, but then again I've already had a bad experience with droning performance exhaust and now prefer quiet.
