Ve ?

Are the lifter adjustable? Lifter are ticking. I'm thinking it needs adjustment or oil flush.

"Lifter noise" on a VE usually means VTC noise. Did a mechanic tell you the lifters are noisy or what?

It's not the vtc cuz the ticking goes away with a new oil change. When oil change is about 3 months old is when ticking starts. Not as bad but its a issue I would love to fix before it gets worst.

That still doesn't necessarily rule out VTC's. VTC noise going away temporarily with a fresh oil change and/or nicer oil filter is common especially before the VTC's get too bad and are in their beginning failure stages.

If I were you I'd ground the VTC's as a test just to rule them out. Just tap into the yellow wire at the VTC and touch it to a ground point. Won't even take you 5 minutes.

Well, yes, but to be clear it's not truly a "fix" for the VTC's. A more appropriate way to describe it would be like a permanent Band-Aid.

You don't need a write up. Simply splice into the yellow wire on either VTC harness and ground the other end. Easiest place to ground it is at one of those 10mm bolts at that fuel rail bracket right over the water neck that connects to the radiator hose.
