Instrument cluster light...
... did a search, looked at everyone's sites, and searched the web but I can't find the bulb number for the light(s) that illuminate the cluster bezel. I need someone to tell me this in the next few hours so if anyone knows or has da book post up and help me out, ok? I need to know the bulb number and how many there are. Thanks...

194 style bulbs. You'll need 4 of them for the gauges.

it is pretty easy to change the bulbs behind the gauges. I did mine w/ 194 style blue LED's. They look tight and cost me about 20 bucks. I wanted to change my lights in the a/c unit too so if anyone has ever done this, what type of lights are behind there.

you can get the bulbs at any auto shop, like pep boys or auto zone. they're like 2 bucks for 2. (194 wedge bulbs) i changed mine to red, but i'm thinking of going to LED blue or something like that. it's really easy to change them too. i want to change the lights behind the climate panel too, but i dont even know how to get inside of the thing though, or the bulb size.

look at my site in the how-to section under clock fix, that shows you how to take the whole dash apart and get to the bulbs

Very EASY mod. Did mine in about 30 mins. Changed mine to green While you're in there, you could turn your mileage back if you want. Just a thought for when you want to sell the Max. I am going to try and tackle the AC lights most likely next weekend. I have a bad temperature switch that needs to be fixed anyway. When I do it, I will let you know.

Hey, i have the blue LED's and they are nice, but i don't think that they are as great as what everyone says they are. I'm about to change mine to either hiperwhite or red 194 bulbs, because the LED's don't distribute the light as well. And if anyone knows what kind of light goes behind the a/c controls please post something.

I'm not sure if we have the same lights in our a/c unit or not, but there was a link that was posted here on tha org that went to a thread that was posted on an acura-cl website where tha guy (THE MOD KING, as he was called there) did this very exact thing. Changing all tha bulbs in the cruise button, a/c unit, defrost button, etc. Every button that was lit up green, he changed to blue including the clock. From what i recall, he had to order some 3mm led bulbs and had to unsolder the stock bulbs and replace them with the aftermarket bulbs he purchased. From what i can remember from reading tha 6-7 page thread, it took some pretty decent amount time to change all the bulbs, but when he posted his pics, it sure as hell was worth it. A very nice mod to do in my opinion!! Was thinkin bout tacklin this job, just don't have tha time myself!!

found tha link and here it is...i don't know if our cars are similar, but you can get a general ideal to what the whole mod could look like!!
