How do you get the odometer to work.The speedometer and all other instruments work fine. I have just installed another engine and need to keep track of the mileage.

 

If the speedo works, then the odometer is most likely frozen. Unless the small connector to the odo is disconnected at the back of the cluster.

Wrong section though.

 

A friend of mine has the same problem with his 94. Let me know if you find the solution. I have a spare cluster but we haven't gotten around to swapping it out if that would even solve it? If he doesn't want to swap it then the cluster may be up for grabs. Im in Canada so I'd have to check about shipping if it's even an interest and provided he doesn't want to swap it but im sure you could also find one at a local yard aswell.

 

When my odometer stopped working, I tore down the cluster and it turned out that the gear attached to the motor was turning, but it wasn't making contact with the gear on the odometer. A little adjustment and all is well.
