Clears
Well.... To be truthful they may never make them. I took it upon myself to design my own clears. It's quite simple. Takes alot of patience. You first have to begin by taking apart the entire tail light fixture (the patience part) by using a heat gun around all edges to liquify the sealtight factory glue. After that process is complete, with a flathead carefully begin to pry the outer lens away from the housing. Not to much pressure, because the outer lens will crack fairly easy. After the outer piece is removed from the housing repeat the process with the inner red lens, because it may be glued to the housing. After removal of the red lens remove the yellow tinted piece from the bottom. From your local hardware store purchase a sheet of 1/2 plexiglass.... or if you can find sheets of some type of reflector material (like manufactured clears) to cut your new inner lens from. Take the red lense and trace the exact shape it onto the plexiglass sheet and cut it out use a rotozip. After the piece has been cut lay the new piece on top of the red pice and use the heat gun to bend it to the angle of the red piece. After this has been accomplished using a fine grit sand paper sand it until it it not completly see-through. Then paint it with a clear base mixed with a light pearl or glitter for a custom clear.

Easier way.
That can be done, and that being pulled over is a thing cops just like to do to a modified car. I'm sure you have experienced that before. Just like the tail light swap weve done to our MAX's. I'm guessing peeps have been pulled over for that before. Just put red bulds or the LED bulbs in and hope the cops dont mess wit ya. Its not illegal.

the clears
i have gotten pulled over in my ranger with clear tails and the legal part about them is that you need to have two things: first- reflectors (no matter what color), and second- have red brake bulbs and amber or red turn signals(that can be seen for 500ft)
It also helps if you have a D.O.T.(department of transportation) number on them...that makes them 100% legal.
....but anyway..if you can somehow get a piece of reflective plastic, then they souldnt pull you over.
+++no max yet...this summer i plan to get a '94 SE 5sd w/ all options and trick it out+++
++hope the money is flowin =) ++

bulb legality
im not so sure...right now as we speak, my ranger has clear corners with blue bulbs in them...i have been pulled over twice w/ no tickets yet...i believe in the front, you must have either amber, yellow, orange, or clear...on the back you must have red or amber....this is what i know..i have clear tails also and the break light and turn signals are red...ive got superwhites in the backup bulb
(laws for st. louis)
