brakes and boots

brakes and boots

i have a problem my right front brake doesnt work at all does anyone know a web site where i can go and get some good quality brakes and another thing the boot on my car the little rounk plastic thing that fits on the back of the brake is ripped off can i replace that my self any suggestions are welcome thanks

you need to rebuild your calipers.
you can buy the parts from the dealer for about $15 for both front calipers (it comes in a set for both calipers). they should both be rebuilt at the same time and new pads installed.

If you're not up to the task of rebuilding them yourself, take it to a shop or just buy a rebuilt caliper from a parts store.
(www.carparts.com has them online pretty cheap).

Also read the brake parts FAQ at the top of the board.
Has many other sources for you.
