1990 Door Lock not working?

So the issue started yesterday after work. It just started getting cold around here so I thought it might have caused this to happen. I went to unlock the door, and it stuck. After breaking ice off of it the door still wouldn't unlock. So now the way it works now is I can unlock it outside now, but have to lock it from the inside, and it gives me pressure while I try to lock it inside. Any idea on how to fix this?

Latch or linkages may be binding up. Lube everything up (spray some tri-flow or white lithium grease into the latch and the key hole, cycle the key in the lock a few times.) maybe take the door apart and lube up the linkages. Mine here recently has been binding up quite a bit, but is due to everything getting cold and drying out. Lubed it all up and good as new. Alternatively you may still have ice inside the lock cylinder, which would potentially prevent the linkages from easily moving, inside or out.

Hopefully its as simple as that, but if not, you MAY need a new latch if both key AND door lock tab/pin/push upper downer/up down popper dealio are giving you resistance and there is no other obvious cause. Maybe one of the linkages came unclipped from the door panel and is moving around freely, could also cause the problem. Get the door panel off and take a look inside while manipulating the lock from inside/outside, see whats going on.

Lubing has fixed it.
