timing belt or timing chain???

timing belt or timing chain???
still a "newbie" (gotta get rid of this status) i see....anyhow, i recently did a search on timing belts and timing chains. i have a 92 SE and i was wanted to know if the SE had a belt or chain. some threads i read had people with SE's having a belt and others having a chain. my next ? is, i also read that if you have a timing chain, that is suppose to last tha lifetime of the engine!! how true is that? preciate tha help gentz and laydeez!!
