Knock sensor for the vg

Knock sensor for the vg
Has anyone used any aftermarket knock sensors from ebay on their vg with good feedback? I've seen a number of reasonably priced knock sensors. The dealership wants an arm and a leg for a sensor that has such a simple task. I've heard that generally knock sensors last the life of the car and aren't very prone to failure. At some point im going to get the headers i have put on and figured while the manifolds were off it might be a good time to put in a new knock sensor for piece of mind. Any opinions?

By all accounts, VG's and even VQ's do very well with the aftermarket/eBay knock sensors.
For whatever reason, it's only the VE that hates any knock sensor other than the ridiculously priced OEM units.

Good to know. I was curious even though theyre a pretty simple sensor alot of the ebay knock sensors are made in china so i guess i was just curious how well they'd do or if they'd crap out quickly. It looks like the harness and sensor combo is pretty low priced. I know with alot of things oem is the way to go but i figured with a knock sensor it wouldnt really matter much and the oem seems pretty over priced.
