New door locks
I need to replace the door locks on our '90 SE. Yes, I've tried door lock lubricant, and tried having a new key made. But still the driver door lock is stubborn, and the passenger door requires superhuman finesse plus luck to get it open. I suspect they were abused by a former owner.
My question:
Is it better to pay more for OEM door locks from a Nissan dealer, or will it work just as well to have a locksmith do it with locks they supply?
The ignition key is a little off too. After turning it, I have to lift it up to connect. That's fine for me but hard to get across to the occasional person who borrows it. Would a new ignition lock cylinder (if that's the correct term) solve that problem?
