1989 Nissan Maxima with 97K

Recently moved to Northern Virginia and am looking for a good independent repair shop/tech who can do a timing belt/waterpump replacement. Would really appreciate any recommendations. Called the local nissan dealer and they want $1800 to do the belt/pump replacement. A few other shops quoted me from $480 to $1000 for the work. But ive never used or had any experience with these shops.

Thanks. But the inability to find a trustworthy mechanic to work on my car is one of the reasons ive decided to sell it. Its been a great 10 years with the car. Im sure someone else will get many years of use out of it. I listed it in for sale section.
