Headlight Question

My driver side headlight just gave out on me yesterday. I tried replacing it with a new bulb but the new bulb that I put on there did not work either. I also tried checking the wiring with a Multimeter and got no voltage. Are there fuses or some type of relays that control the front headlights. I would really appreciate some type of help.
Doesn't work on high or low? Take it to an auto electronics shop to look at it. Around here it costs like $30+ just to look at it. My driving lights were acting up, just going out on me whenever for no reason, the bulbs would be blown, both of them and usually one at a time, and the fuse would be blown as well. The just said it was somewhere in the wiring (DUH!!). But, let them check it out. I finally looked at the wiring in the bundle in the driver's fender and everything looked fine. Ever since then, they've not blown on me once and that was a year ago, go figure!
check the fuses. are you blowing any?? if yes then there's a short somewhere. relays..make sure they click and flow power.

The headlights use only one fuse. The fuse box is on the drivers side, right above the hood release. Looks like it might be an ash tray. Read the cover that comes off to find out which one is for the lights. But, being only one fuse, if one side works, the other doesn't, it's not the fuse! Check the relays. There are two boxes of relays under the hood. One in front of the battery and one beside the battery near the fender, I think this is where it is.
