Roll call!

How many of y'all are still around? I know some have passed on, others are caught up with life, and others just don't care to check their messages.
If you are reading this, you are the last bastion of hope for these 3rd Gen Maxima's.
We love these cars, so we try to hold on to them as long as possible, despite the dwindling availability of parts and support. Yet we hold out...daring to be different in a world filled with groups of 240s, hellcats, mustangs, and Civics. Even the Infiniti's have their following.
Well, what can we do? Perhaps Master the RWD LS swaps to rejuvenate the group? We'll see. Anyway, post your pics if you're still receiving these messages.

I had a 1993 SE 5 speed with some engine problems. Sold it recently to someone who is trying to restore it. It was tough to let go as I had it 25 years, but I'm enjoying the extra free time. 🙂 Definitely miss the community though!

Scrapped my 3rd gen in 2011 but still kick around every few weeks even tho I moved on to Toyota's 15 years back, just perpetually building my Toyota Crown. Miss the OG 1st-3rd gen crew CapedCadaver, Big E Dog etc

Kick around local meets in summer but pretty much a loner & my online presence is virtually nil. Shame so many forums are shutting down losing 25+ years of archived info in lieu of garbage Facebook groups but apparently the future is now. Nice to see this place is still up and running

I'm not OG and I don't have much to offer the group since I cannot do most my work since I have no garage. But I'm a lurker and I appreciate it if the long time member help the new ones. I love my Maxima but it has an engine clock in California. I'm waiting to get it back after a rebuild It's a shame that parts are hard to find but I read in a Classic car magazine that people that was restoring a burned up 1930s car found New-Old-Stock parts. I don't understand, those parts are nearly 100 years old and it hard to find parts for a 40 year old car.

Perfectly said; it's FAR easier to find parts for a even a 1920s era car than a VE powered 3rd gen

I and my dad both have one. Both 93 GXE. We got a third (89 5 speed) that we are using to fix and manual swap my dad's. I would ( if you haven't sent yours to the shredder) like a manny tranny to swap mine as well. We are in the North Idaho Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area. Any enthusiasts that can meet up there?

Still here and still have my '93 GXE VLSD 5spd. It's been sleeping in my garage going onto 3 years now. It actually saw the streets about 2 weeks ago but on a flat bed since I had to transport it from my old house to my new house. Still turns on and drives so I managed to put her back into my garage. I have been sourcing parts and the last one I got was a full digital cluster set up with complete harness to swap it in as I already did the HUD retrofit over 10 years ago. I linger once in awhile on here. I have moved onto the BMW world since 2008 when I purchased my first E90 335i 6MT but I haven't given up on my 3rd gen.
