VG POWER!!
VG30E: 182lb-ft @ 4,000RPM
VE30DE: 190lb-ft @ 4,000RPM

I like my VG, but I'd kill for a VE30DE/5-speed *drool*

so your saying that the 89-94 se's all have the same 190hp and the 89-94 gxe's all have the same 160hp. so how much hp do the fourth generation maximas have. i had a 92 maxima se 5spd and i was trying to race wit my friends 95 maxima gle auto and i could never beat him. everything in both our cars were stock.

The 89-91 GXE's and SE's both had the VG30E engine putting out 160 hp. The 92-94 SE's have 190 hp with the VE30DE motor. The 4th gens had 190 as well. 3rd gen GXEs never got the 190hp engine.

AHHHHH!!!!!!! Good GOD! A 5 speed VE should take an auto VQ. Please learn to launch and shift, or do a tune-up. Definitely get a CAI.

89-91; ALL Maximas had the 160hp VG30E

92-94; SE's had the 190hp VE30DE, GXE/GLE's still had the 160hp VG30E

95-99; ALL Maximas had the VQ30DE, 190hp, 205lb-ft of torque
