200k and counting

Okay guys....Are there any parts that I should change?
Here's what I've replaced so far, and it's costing me a lot of money. Sometimes I wonder if i should buy a new car.

Transmission
alternator
battery
fuel injector seals

and this week my mechanics going to replace the coolant temperature sensor and clutch, and seal the transmission because it's leaking....and that's going to cost me another 500.

the way I see it, i've replaced almost everything except the engine. So, i've come this far and It's probably better for me to keep my dependable 89 max. It still runs so smooth still.
Any suggestions?

You can get a new car but keep the Max. I got my Max for life. 1994 Max SE, 173,000 miles. Replaced clutch twice, replaced water pump, had the axles replaced about 10 times, rear main seal, among other things. I may get another car probably next year, (if I decide to a permanent job) but I will never get rid of the Max.

Same here, I think the value on a high mileage Maxima is too low to warrant me ever selling it.

Keep that man i got a 92' gxe auto and rebuit the transmission, got a new alternator, power steering pump, exhaust, and it was hit on the passenger side. its got 187,000 miles and is still smoking people. i just put all new infinity kappas in it, with tha panasonic 3-d dot matrix head unit. it was my dads and i just got it not even a month ago and ive already ate up a couple hooked up civics, sunfires, and jettas at my school. so keep it man don't give it up for nothing.and if you get a new car it better be another max!

Re: 200k and counting

I got my 89' maxima with 160,000 miles on it from a family friend. It now has 235,000 miles on it. I changed my oil every 3,ooo miles, give or take 1,000, I get lazt here and there. I had to replace the fuel pump, clutch, tranny(5 speed)1st or 2nd gear would not let me in, Y pipe has got a huge hole in it, replaced brakes many times, and a broken fog light. All this has been over the last two years. I drive my car everyday for atleast 1 to 3 hours like its on the track. I mean I put the engine into triple digits, double clutch every downshift, always got the gas pinned down.
This is a rally friendly car. Keep the max, its good taste!
