Do you know about thrid gen lock actuators?

Hey,
My left rear door lock stopped working and I assume it is the actuator, I disassembled it from the door, but I can't figure out how to get the metal bar seperate from it...Any help?

I had the same problem wiht my front passenger door lock. The lock wouldn't pop up with the rest of the locks, so i went on ebay and for 7 bucks got a 2 wire actuator. I mounted it to my door then plugged its green wire to my existing brown/white striped wire. And i hooked up my solid brown wire to its blue wire. It works great now! Note: the brown wires i was talking about are wrapped up in black tape with two other wires (4total) and then plugged into the existing actuator, so you have to expose them and cut them off of the connector, but then replug the other 2 wires back into the broken actuator (dont ask me why though). If you have any questions e-mail me jlunde944@hotmail.com

good luck

there's a small plastic hook that holds the bar attaches to. flip the plastic up and the bar can slide out.
