detached spoiler

i have a 92 SE and the driver's side of the spoiler came up from the trunk. i just took it to nissan and they told me the spoiler has rotted and can't be fixed and that it has to be replaced. they quoted me something like $525 uninstalled. has anyone else had this problem?? any suggestions??

how about just leaving it off? i always thought it would look cleaner without. if mine ever rots/comes off, i'm going to putty the holes and paint over it. otherwise, you're welcome to buy mine for $300 + labor and paint to cover the holes

mine has come up on both sides but the 4 screws by the brake light do a good job of holding it on. It doesnt even flap at high speeds

the brake light in the center is very secure but the side does flap at high speeds... actually at any speed for that matter. it's bent or something so it doesn't even touch the trunk. i'd like to keep it on, i definitely like the way it looks. i have a factory paint job... can you tell me more about the stillen wing?

if the other side comes up (which i don't think it will, i don't yank on that side to open the trunk when it's weighed down with snow) i'll be sure to let you know. thanks for the offer!
