I am considering getting a turbo fitted to my maxima. I understand that these are fairly general questions as I have not yet started shopping around or decided upon a particular unit. But at this stage I am wondering what brands are good and how much the unit would be installed in my 3rd gen 1993 max.

Will turbos increase fuel economy if driven under normall conditions and or reduce the life of the engine? how regular do turbos need servicing?

Most importantly: how much performance increase can I expect (my car is totally stock at the moment) and does not have vvt- it is 160hp I think

 

okay most people ARENT GONNA BE THIS NICE. It doesnt just "fit" it will be alot of custom work and if your asking these question you obviuolsy need to do some more homework. but if you have the money you can do anything but expect upwards of 3K and alot of headaches.
They dont make a kit for the 3rd gen so youd need to buyone from another car and have it custom fabed.... you know what I know like squat about turbos and I still know way more than you, please do some research. www.howstuffworks.com
