I have about $400.00 to spend on mods but i have no idea on what to get. I have a 93 max SE 5sp VE motor im thinking about getting a short shifter but not to sure on what else to get. If you guys could just give some suggestions it would be great!

 

get an intake bracket and filter bracket 20$ filter around 15$
you could get a pop charger (1 psi of boost) around 350$ i think
a Y-pipe and hi-flow cat
performance muffler and bigger pipes if you could find a good deal
cams but not really sure how much $
you can also advance your timing ( search for how to) free

 

WTF? how do you get boost from changing your air filter?

 

And to answer the questions, read the MAX FAQs and other people's sig files for different mods out there.

you can either go faster, look better, stop better, corner better, or drop your ride (which helps in many aspects).

all depends on what you want to do. $400 will go quite a way in many of those.

 

its a pop charger that gives you around 1 psi of boost not the filter its like a mini electrical fan that goes after your filter
search for it i saw it a while ago on the forum and looked at it on the internet it gives around 10-15 hp

 

Mat he's talking about the E-ram.....aka the "leaf blower turbo" IMO, its BS....no way you're gonna get 10-15 HP out if it!
BTW it has nothing to do with a "pop charger"!

 

I'd get a y-pipe and pop charger. Just make sure everything mechanical works fine before you start modding.

Even if that E-ram thing gains you anything at all, it doesn't trun on until WOT, meaning it does jack in regular driving and maybe even gets in the way. Don't do it.
