Help regarding B pipe

Im about to go to the muffler shop and see if they could make me a b-pipe. So what exactly do I ask for? lol. I know it should be mandrel bent, but thats about it. What diameter should I be going for, 2.5? Also, about how much should it cost?

Chances are they can not make mandrel bends.....But you can buy pre bent pieces, you just have to measure the curves in you exaust.
2.5 is good. And unless you are loyal to this particular shop call around for prices....oh and if they are jerks on the phone they don't deserve your business, try to find a place that will work with you

b-pipe prices

flyry110 if you can REALLY get a 2.5" mandrel b-pipe, bent and installed for $75, please e-mail me as we need your source. No way, not a chance. At least not with any of the mandrel benders I have known. Most shops,98% don't have a mandrel bender, many exhaust shops don't even know what mandrel bending is. The ones that do have them are typically not to interested in installs as they usually run big batches for the likes of J.C. Whitney. No flame intended, If your prices are for real, we need to talk.

i believe the b-pipe goes from the y-pipe(myb the cat) to the muffler.

no, that's a cat-back. a B-pipe is the last half of that. it starts somewhere in the middle of the section that's "sideways" under the car, and goes to the muffler.

dude, I just said it's HALF of the cat-back! take the first 4 feet of pipe off after the cat and pretend it's not there. what you have left is the B pipe.

do you understand that, or am I going to have to draw you a picture?

How much does it cost? Wouldn't it be cheaper just to go to an exaust shop and have them bend you a catback system? I know I can get it done for about $50. Or is there something special about this b pipe?
