ODB I scanners, where to get?

I'm getting an ODB II scanner soon so I'd like to get one for the Max also. Just wondering what you guys are using to scan the ODB I codes?

I searched for "ODB" and only found two results. I was hoping maybe someone knew of one or was using one other than the JCWhitney one. I'm going to use autotap for my Mustang, that's why I don't want an all-in-one tool.

u can do the same thing on the ECU by reading the lights. save your $ on the tool. it's ez to pull the panel down and find out what codes are at fault but a turn of a ****.

Anything to save a buck or two. Is this light-counting procedure in the manual or Hayne's manual? I have both, just want to save someone from typing me info that's already somewhere else.

Dunno about the Haynes but it's in the Nissan FSM. Check stickies for the codes.

You also don't need those A/F ratio monitors. When you set your ECU into diagnostic mode and turn on the engine, the engine light will show you rich or lean. Now if someone knows how to show when it's detecting knock that would be nice.
