Length? That's an awefully personal question.

quick question

mine has alot of bounce to it, does anyone elses? mine also rubs my paint sometimes if it bounces enough so i had to use no-cell foam under the wing and i added little strips to the edges near the car. i want to figure out why mine has alot of bounce. is there something i am missing? what all came with everyones to mount it?

hmmmmm

i used 4 scew in bolts i got from a local shop and some no-cellular foam for under the wing to protect the paint. the trunk looks very flimsy it moves with the wing a bit. i am wondering if i should put some sheet metal under the mounting area to stiffen the load.

Mine is like 58 or 59" inches. It is exactly as long as the trunk. Doesn't hang over, so on a touring wing that probably wouldn't work. TW I woudl agree with everyone and go with a 61"...

wings... hmm... well you could do what i'm doing and rip that P.O.S. stock "spoiler" off. It doesn't do anything anyway, and since i dont spend most of my time upwards of 100MPH, i dont think i need one. Not to be unpopular, but does anyone else think the maximas look cleaner without a spoiler on the back?

I agree! (even though I have one )
I think that they look better with out them, but some wings really compliment the Maxima also...

The wing on my ride is a one-piece all aluminum unit with structural ribs and spars. It's 409" wide unit that is riveted and bolted onto the body. It really increase the performance because it has a laminar flow design. It is also adjustable via a control from the interior and I can increase/decrease the lift at anytime. I can also increase the lift on one end and decrease the lift on another end to help in turning. It's really sweet. It also has strobe lights on the ends and bright lights (kinda like driving lights) in the leading edge. It also has pop-up speed brakes installed to help deceleration from high speeds.

Yoy guys wanna see a pic? I'll go digging for one...

you guys

need to chill with the anti "what you call rice" attitude. Im getting tired of it,Some people think Maximas look good with spoilers. If I want to put a 5' long and 2' high wing on my car then I will, the rest of you can tell me if you like it or keep your mouths shut if you have something rude to say.

LOL... here's a pic. I'm a flight instructor at a collegiate aviation program. We have five of these Mooney Ovation's... 280 hp, they cruise at about 220mph... pretty sweet. This one is at Chicago Meigs airport (think MS Flight Simulator)
