Tire rubbing

Anyone else with 225/55/16 tires on their max rub when they turn all the way to the left.

When I turn all the way to the left, my right tire will rub the wheel well.

Know of any way to fix this? Nothing rubs when I turn hard right.

Hey that happens to me too! I've got 215/50/ZR17s though. Rubs when I turn wheel all the to the left, but nothing when I turn to the right. I just deal with it, I don't make that many left-hand U-turns.

do you make that many right hand ones? i dono about this, but it seems to me that if the tires are aligned, shouldn't rub left or right? or is the tire well different on the 2 sides?

Yeah, I've got some 225/60/15 Blizzaks on my max right now. They rub, although I'm not sure if it's just left hand, but I'll be looking out for it now They also hit my struts when I hit big bumps or pull into parking lots that are higher then the road. Anyone want to buy a set of Blizzaks?

It's all in the offset of the wheels. +40 and +45mm wheels seem to be pretty common, but it's a bit too much to run really big tires on the 3rd Gen. I did some feeling around once with the front end jacked up and the two sides actually ARE a tiny bit different. If the rubbing is bad (or badly annoying) you might think about wheel spacers. 5mm spacers might be enough (the next size up is 15mm I think).

Yeah I make right hand U-turns all the time

I had an alignment done after I had my springs, shocks, new wheels/tires put on, so it shouldn't be that.
