master cylinder/slave cylinder

ok, so as everyone has probably read, and gotten sick of reading, i've been having shifting problems. well, i've actually noticed that i've had to put clutch fluid in every couple of weeks. at first i thought it was just the clutch getting worn, but i'm pretty sure it's not now. with the notchy shifter, and when i push the clutch real fast and hard, it's easier to shift, i think it's my master cylinder. . . . what do you guys think? i mean, it's hard to shift, and i have to wait for the synchros to line up before it'll go into the next gear. and from a dead stop it's hard to go into 1st. . . .. what do you guys think? master cyl possibly?

If you have to add fluid that often, then you should be able to find where it's leaking. look behind your pedal under the firewall.. there's a rubber seal on the inside of the MC that was leaking fluid inside the firewall on my car. rebuilt the master cyl and the problem went away. shifting improved , but most of the benefit was from changing the clutch and rebuilding the tranny.

Hmm.... almost like when I shredded the seals on a brake MC I bled once. It was all leaking out the back into the vacuum booster and filling it up!

same as MAtt's -->

Mine lost fluid, and it was leaking on the inside into the cabin. Not a trace of a leak outside. I rebuilt mine with an oem kit from Courtesy.
