Broken Speedo

I have a 91 Gxe and my speedo and odometer stopped working...all other gauges on the panel still operate fine...Is the panel bad or is it the speedo cable??? Does anyone else have this problem??? If it is the speedo cable where does it go into the tranny???

check the connection to the speedsensor(located on the tranny), chances are the electrical connector came a loose.
