define "slight modification"??
you'll have to cut the rear flange off and weld on a longer piece (to rear manifold). also the front needs to be slightly adjusted.
if you call that slight..then go for it...but IMO that's a major modification to a Y-pipe.

i wouldnt define slight because i dont know how hard it is, but you just did yourself and i would rather do that then buy another y pipe.

no i said slight modification because other companies have sold one y pipe for both engines, and quoted from warpseed performance "Our competition still wonders why theirs have fitment problems" and if it was that hard i would have thought they would have said, "why they dont fit"

I can tell you for certain that a Warpspeed VG y pipe WILL NOT fit a VE 5 spd.
I've tried it. it hits the shifter linkage. you'll have to completely rebuild the pipe in order to make it fit..

if you haven't installed the VG pipe, give them a call and explain the situation. They SHOULD let you send it back and you just pay shipping for a VE pipe.. That's of course given that it's still brand new and all the gaskets and stuff are still there.
(I would do it if I had sold you the pipe anyway, but it's up to them for the final call).

Can't hurt to call and find out.

EDIT here's a pic showing why it won't fit.

see how the two primaries come together side by side just before the Y piece? the shifter linkage on the car is right about the middle of the second pipe.

Thank you all for responding and getting this mystery out of the way, i will have to talk to Dallas as far as send it back is concerned, the y pipe is still in its box, i havent even opened it to see what it looks like, LOL....so its 100% brand new with a never opened box, BTW whitymax, are you serious about the purchase ? its a S/S TIG welded y pipe, i went for the most expensive one, like i have mentioned, i havent even opened the box, let me know. thanks later.

Yeah I have the infamous "one size fits all pipe on my VG, and it rubs the sway bar at low RPMs. I bent it just a little and it is hardly noticeable, and only happens in first gear at low speeds

LOL it's a chair.. and that's why it's in the garage.
It was left in the house my sister bought a year or so ago.. the lady that lived there before then moved out in about 85, and no one lived in the house since.. so the chair's brand new, but 18 years old.
