Does anyone know if a Max V6 will fit in a Sentra body? I can get both real cheap and I was just getting an idea on what mods will need to be done.

You can try the trunk, but I don't think you'll be able to close it.

What the

heck are you smoking? Okay, maybe you just don't know much about this, but why do that when you could put a SR20DE with some cheap boltons and have the same power? or even an SR20DET!!! Sorry to sound sarcastic, just tired of questions like these

Don't think so!

You're talking about putting a V6 into a car that is suited for a 4cyl.! The tranny is going to completely differed as there is no relationship between parts on these models. The only reason poeple talk about doing 300zx to Max engine swaps is because these two engines have the same block, which since the same, will transfer to from a Z to a Max. Look elswhere, you've already been given some other options to pursue.

Before you talk too much, the '94 Sentra has the same tranny as 3rd gen GXE Maximas..

Huh?!

Gee, didn't know that. Apologies, I stand corrected. Figured that logic states that a 4cyl. would be smaller and thus the bolt pattern would be different. Narrower wheel base = smaller tranny/ smaller car, different gearing (?). OH well....

i dont know any...

of the technical issues. But just think, thats the same as trying to put a V8 in a maxima. I think even if you stuck on some kind of hood with a big whole so the engine could come out the top, it'd still tip the car forward in the front form all the extra weight.

I was quoted a price by International Parts Search a year ago for a 300zx single turbo with 60,000 miles for $950. I figured ecu and engine harness would take it to at least $1,500 not including anything else that must be done to complete the modification. I was told that in addition to these necessary components, the 300z fuel pump was needed, etc.

speaking of putting a V8 in a max. . . i'm kidding. I put a smallblock in my fiero though. that was cool. anyway, if you buy the new sports compact Car there's a huge hybrid section in there. I doubt its going to show that swap but if it does, it'll probably show that it will need chassis, structural, body, and engine modifications to fit. I'm sure it could be done with enough stupidity and enough $$$. If i were you i'd stick with one or the other. If you want to go around doing engine swaps buy a honda, or EVEN better a old chevy Nova.
