Re: Stupid Q: How do you get the Nissan Emblem off?

Not hard but be gentle. there are 3 prongs on the emblem 1 on the bottom and 1 on each side. Open the hood (prop it if you don't have new hood struts ) gently push together on the 2 side prongs while pulling the emblem forward when it moves a little pull up on the bottom prong again pulling on the emblem and it should slide right out. DO NOT push too far on the prongs or they will break the hooks are not very big so you don't have to squeeze much.

Hope you can make sense of my instructions

I said be gentle and not press too much just messing with ya. the other 2 prongs should hold it on good enough though in case you don't like the non emblem look.

You should be able to find someone that has one since so many people take theirs off. Maybe do a wtb on the for sale board.

careful, when i took mine off one of the prongs were already snapped off so its got 2 left. Its getting boring looking so its going back on soon along with the hood mask and clears when they come in (theres like 10 different ways i can configure my front end look between the emblem, mask, and clears/oranges.)

Buy some mesh, make it, paint it. Doesn't get much more cheap than that...

He could always get his dad to drive him around in it for now - never too young to start the car craze!

Just remember to keep things in perspective though. I had this WEIRD musclecar phase when I was in my teens that had me all pumped and doing crazy things like spec'ing out parts and performance estimates for engines and cars I'd drool over. The thing I was ignoring was the simple fact that doing these things required lots of time... and MONEY!

I lost interest soon after, but at least walked away quite knowledgable about various things, which is why overall it was a good experience.

Now that I'm older with (arguably) more money, I have the added advantage of all the stock performance my VE 5-speed has already built into it.... not that it makes any difference once <ominous music> MOD FEVER has you in its clutches!

Yea, it's all true and I didn't mean 23. I'm puttin money into a modded car cuz I have nothing better to do w/ my money than spend it on candy and toys. (jk) But I am part of the car craze now and have looked at specs and parts like body kits for cars I'll never have. So now, I've got my wonderful Maxima.

I think this means that a 13 year old is going to have more mods on his car than I'm going to have on mine. *hangs head in shame and slowly walks away*
