Crank Angle Sensor

Hello, everyone. Anyone ever replace the Crank Angle Sensor (CAS) from the imfamous VE engines? If so, where was it found (parts store)? My car has been in the shop for the last 3 weeks now and no one can find the freaking problem, I have replace just about everything you can on this car even the ECU. Which I did last night, but I was reading from past forums (used the search button) that it may take up to 50 miles for the ECU to relearn your driving habits and the habits of the car, go figure. Well anyways if someone has replaced the CAS I would like to know where to find it, I tried car-parts.com already nothing listed. Thanks.

I don't think the Ve has a crank angle sensor. It does have a cam angle sensor though. I coudld be wrong. this sensor should be available at most dealers.

I think you're both right. In the FSB, they call it the crank angle sensor, but it's actually located on the cylinder head. Like matt said - check a local dealer, or call Courtesy.

Dunno, good news though the 50 or so miles have passed and my car seems to be doing better. Keep your fingers and legs crossed.
