!!!!!!!!!!!!update!!!!!!!!!!!!!

got my car back from the tranny shop...they said that my transmission fluid was so low and so messed up from having not been checked in over 60,000 miles (i know: very stupid) that if i had waited another week to bring it in, it prob. would've died on me. but they drained it, put new extended mileage stuff in, and threw in some additives for extremely high mileage transmissions, and its good as new. thanks to everyone who had any suggestions for my problem. back to modding.................... ngthing..please clean up your act so i can buy some bmw lights from you, i'm a little hesitant to do so based on your reputation on the org, but at the same time, they look tight and you got a pretty good price. peace all

Additives?

What kind of additives did they put in there? I'm having some tranny problems too. It sometimes doesn't want to downshift when I need it to. When it does that, I have to manually downshift it and it's a PITA. I'm curious, could you tell me what they put in there?

actually dude i dont know exactly what they put in there; they told me that for high mileage engines, and more specifically, nissan ones from 88-95, require a very precise formula of selenoids (spelling), or chemicals in the tranny fluid. if there is even one speck of dirt or anything unpure in the mixture, it can be enough to mess up shifting, and eventually just wear the transmission to nothing. i am bringing the car back in a week or two to get my headlight harness set up, ill ask em then and let you know then if you're still wondering.
peace

Thanks, but don't worry about it

I'll just roll by the dealer and ask them about it. I have to buy myself a new oil sending unit while I'm there anyway - mine is leaking. Thanks!
