Got my first major mods this weekend. Ordered a stillen y-pipe, magnaflow muffler and k&n intake. Feels good to have something other than a stock car.

On another note, while i was waiting for the guy to put on my muffler, a guy came in with a 2001 maxima se. I could hear this beast coming like a mile away. Ran out asked him what he had under the hood. Sure enough, kid had a stillen supercharger, and an intake kit i couldnt recognize. Also had the whole stillen catback set up with y-pipe. I mean this kid was smoking. He came in to get his pistons replaced and to set up some kinda nos thing (beyond me). He was saying that he was gonna use a 100shot, and could get like 320-330 hp on his car. Spent like 4g on the aftemarket stuff alone, on top of the car. But daddy paid for that i guess, though he had a maxima so i have some respect for a rich kid like that, has good taste.

He took me for a drive around the block while we were waiting, went to a sidestreet. Floored it, he was almost in 3rd gear before his tires finaly caught. then shot off. unbelievable.

 

Any reason why you picked a Stillen Y-pipe?

 

since when did Stillen make a Y-pipe for the 3rd gen??

this is what it looks like that i got from the shop, minus the muffler, which i substituted with the magna flow. i assume it would be a y-pipe though, perhaps not now that i am looking on warpspeed. When i went to the shop, the guy suggested these parts, said it would boost up the hp a lil bit, and from what i herd here on the forums i thought was a ypipe.... he ordered it from stillen, but i dunno.

 

hmmmmm...not too sure about that...as far as 3rd gens go WSP and Cattman(and maybe Budget) are the only companies that make Y-pipe for the 89-94s. Stillen has always been for 95-01! make sure hes getting you the right pipe, the Y-pipe for the 4th gen VQs will NOT fit!!!
