Brake drum ? on '90 Maxima......
Haynes is weak on explaining removing the rear drum. Do I need to take the spindle nut off to remove the drum? Other cars the drum comes right off. New to the Nissan style.
If I do, then does the spin nut reverse threads or normal. In other words do I turn clockwise to loosen or stay counterclockwise to loosen?
Plus is it any harder than the ave. brake shoe/drum job?
Dealer wanted 170 for the rear brake job.
Did search and found nothing specific to what I was looking for.
Thanks to all

You need to pull the drum off. Basically it just gets stuck on there and you need something to force it off. If you look at the brake line running to the caliper there is a support for the line that bolts in on the inside of the wheel well. If you remove the bolt from there you should be able to use that bolt to screw into the drum (you should see 2 spots where it will screw in). Tighten the bolt into the drum and it should force it off.
Good luck,
Good luck,
