Sprints And Tires

I'm most likely going to get Sprints this summer with some 17s. I was looking at 225/45/17 tires. Would I have any problems with rubbing? Also, people with Sprints, is scraping a problem? I know there is an "art" to driving a lowered car, but any unavoidable problems?

It depends on the wheel offset. I had 235/45/17 on my old rims and they fit perfectly. However I now have 225/45/17's on my new rims with a +49 offset and they required spacers.

As for the sprints, driveways are the main problem. Sometimes you just can't avoid them and they will hit/rub the engine crossmember.

I was looking at Enkei RS6's. They are 17x7.0 with an offset of 38mm. Will that offset be fine? Thanks

What offsets do I need?
Anything between 35mm-40mm should fit fine.
Ripped from the .org FAQ
