can u use this adapter???

can u use this adapter???

can u use the adapter from the stock airbox to fit a cone filter??
i took out my stock airbox and saw the adapter off it....it looked the same as the ones i have seen on ebay!! Anyone done this before???

Yes. You may have to bend it to shape though.

It will probably leak, just to warn you. Be careful in how you do it. You have to snip it with tin snips, then straighten it out so that the filter can fit over it. Also, you won't be able to go back to stock. Believe it or not that piece is way more expensive than the ones you've probably seen on eBay. If you do want to do it that way, though, do a SEARCH on here before you do. If you look hard you should be able to find a semi-writup Ryan (flyry110) did on how he did it some time ago...

i just used mine, if i ever wanted to go back to stock so bad(which i wont) id just buy one off ebay.

I didn't know that they sold the stock pieces on eBay, so yeah that would def be an option. Stuff there would always be cheaper than having to go to a junkyard or worse a dealership to find the piece...

I don't think they do...

If you don't want to spend a lot the cone intakes that ARE sold on eBay aren't very expensive, or you could buy your own MAF adapter and cone filter locally and have it really cheap too. At least then you don't have to worry about sealing the butchered stock intake and you still have the stock pieces incase you ever need them.

i meant i would just buy a cone adapter from ebay and use that, wouldnt make much of a difference i dont think.
