brake job 1992

what should I be aware of when it comes to a brake pad replacement on a 1992 maxi. I was told to watch out for grease on the pads but is there a perfect way to replace your pads that is step-by-step? if so please let me know. Also is there a way to fix a exhaust leak at the down pipe right past the headers and before the manifold?
may be wrong but will give further intel as needed. Thanx.

I could go two ways with the pad thing
1.If you need to ask that question do you realy want to mess with your BRAKES!
2. Grab a Haynes or a Chiltons and that will give you step by step directions. I am pretty sure Kalebs site has a write up.

On the Exaust thing you will have to be more specific(Headers=Manifold)
