You don't like the look of teh aluminum kits? why not? (just curious, I am buying one)

I'm checking if carbon fiber works for you.

What type

Hmm, my Max has maroonish leather and a maroon dash with some non matching fake wood veneer. What color would go best with that interior?

the aluminum kit looks best with a grey/black interior.. it looks kinda out of place in my car because of the beige interior. I'd say it's probably the same with the maroon/burgundy colors too.. probably about the only thing that would look like it fit would be the black carbon fiber..

ngthing... when you sit back and look at it, it looks fine, but the fit is terrible.. the kit hangs over all the rounded edges on the dash.. I don't even need my coin holder.. just throw the change near it, and the adhesive on the back of the protruding parts on the dash kit keep all the change right down at the bottom of the center console..

oh geeze..when it hangs over the edge, is it pretty ugly? or just bad fitting? i'm unsure if it's worth the $149 if it'dll be ugly. I have a black interior, with pretty dark windows, the widnows keep the light out, so i think al would look good, but I'm worried about this sticking out business

when you're sitting in the seats like a normal person, it looks fine.. pretty durn good actually (especially in a black car I'd think)..
but when you get up close and start feeling around on it, the edges stick out everywhere.. around the whole center piece for the stereo and the A/C controls mainly..
the ashtray piece fits pretty good, but you have to think about how you'll be looking at it.. you don't wanna center it on the front of the ashtray, because then you'll see a big black gap across the top.. (I learned that one the hard way.. slide it up so the edge is just flush witht he top of the ashtray, and it'll look much better when you're sitting above it looking down)..

you really can't SEE that it doesn't fit well, just when you start to feel around the edges..

I've got the Carbon Fiber Dash Trim and Door trim from Carparts.com for about $180 for all of it. It took FOREVER to get, but it looks good. I'll take some picts tonight and post them tomorrow afternoon around.
My interior is black with grey seats. I want to het the door panels custom upholstered, but I don't have the time right now.

I dunno if I would buy it again or not.. if I had a black interior, then it'd most likely be yes.. but since mine isn't black, I'm not sure.. it just doesn't look like it matches in this car..
