my UK corners with bmw headlights pics

UK smoked corners and BMW E36 (mid 90s 3 series) headlights
basic install instructions at http://www.geocities.com/bmwconversion

I got everything I needed for about $150 (used lights from some M3 guy in NY, bulbs, sockets, and some other little stuff)

more pics on my cardomain page (http://maxima.cardomain.com/id/craigbrace on page 8)

I dig it. just a tip, when I put my tinted corners in, I removed my corner bulb. I kept the orange 194 (titned black so it doesn't reflect orange) in its spot. at night, the 194 keeps you street legal (sidemarker) and the light kind of "leaks" in to the 1157s spot, so you see bmw lights, and a bit of orange.

maybe i can find a pic, im tired, so it might not make any sense ;p

They came from the UK. They come stock like that in the United Kingdom. If you want a set it will cost you about $300 to get it over here.

Those corners are the perfect match for the BMW headlights. Thats the best looking conversion i've ever seen. It looks as if you bought the car like that! They need to offer those corners over here in the states.

thanks, Blake
go here: http://www.sjsh.com.tw/products/harness/harness.html
the 9005 and 9006 look very similar; I'm not sure what the difference is other than a small ring of color at the bottom

I had a little trouble finding these. I found one of each at pep boys and then had to go to some other parts stores and eventually found the other 2 I needed. They're about $5 each so $20 total.

Thanks for all the compliments guys

I posted pics of the corners with stock lights a few days ago. They are UK stock corner lenses. I was lucky enough to know someone in UK selling his max so I traded some US clears with him before he sold the car.
Like Donald said, it's gonna cost a lot to get them from a dealer over there so your best bet is buying clears from ebay and trying to tint them yourself.

ng - I will have to try out some different combos when I have time this week and see what looks good, thanks for the ideas

PJ - I'm back in Duluth now so maybe the next meet will be up this way. Also, I'm still ready to install your fogs

yeah, 2 wires - one power and one ground
our stock lights have a combined ground for high and low beam where the BMW harnesses are separate so you will just have to connect the grounds together and then to the stock maxima ground wire

both wires from the new harness are black and it doesn't matter which one you use for ground and which one for power because it's a normal "lamp" and not an "LED" which is polarity sensitive

Pep Boys had the harnesses here and some Mom&Pop store around here, Advance Auto only had 9004 ones

I guess my wishes come true VERY nice Craig. I am now counting pennies to do this conversion. Some halos and projectors would be pimp, but I guess we can only do so much. Nice job craig. And yes, AWSM66's is some of the best work I have seen so far.
