Put that money down for a new car. There is not point in spending that much money on an old car unless you plan on keeping it forever.

Yeah... I love my Max and all (gosh knows, I've put enuff time into it), but unless you plan on keeping your car for an appreciable amount of time, you'd probably be better off either selling your Max, taking that money along with the 13k and investing in something newer, or probably getting a 4th or 5th gen and modding the <insert expletive here> out of it!

spend that $13 on new car.....yeah the Hiekmein engine is all well an good, but its more than just $10k, figure in the installation, maintence and tunining, plus there is nothing mentioned about upgraded axles and you're probably challking on another $2-3k...after all that you'd have a fast *** Maxima and $1.52 for gas!

Keep your 3rd gen. Invest the money. Then buy a used 4th gen, 5 speed.

A car = worst investment.

But we all love em.

has anybody ever seen or used a Hiekmein engine in their 3rd gen? **** it might be worth having the phatest 3rd gen max in washington state, assuming the engine really performs.

you'd have a VE-T to contend with in that state

Now you know what I'm talking about
I think it would be pretty close to the best stealth Maxima there could be... a VG GXE that puts out more horsies then the 5th gens... And that's stock except for a rebuilt engine... That's not counting bolt-ons and other goodies
