AEM Bypass Valve

I've been searching through all of the posts about CAI for my 93 maxima and I've learned quite a bit. I've mainly focused on the Warpspeed or Place Racing. The only difference I can see is cost and I'm leaning toward the Warpspeed. I got a page full of information from Place Racing and they are now selling the AEM bypass valve to fit a 3" CAI. I'm wondering if anybody knows how big the Warpspeed CAI is and if a a 3" AEM bypass valve would fit on it. Also if anybody knows a way to reach AEM through email, it would be great if you could hook me up. I'm out on an aircraft carrier and can't exactly use a phone. Hope I hear some feedback. Thanks guys.

You dont need a bypass valve. You have to literally drive through about 3 ft of water and totally submerge the front end to have any problems. I thought the AEM bypass valves were re-called?

The bypass valve is only effective if the filter is completely submerged in water; by that time you've got other things you need to worry about.

AEM recalled some filters because the filter membranes would get sucked in to the throttle body. Oops.

So even in slush and snow. I'll be alright with a foam or paper filter? From the install sequences I've seen, it looks as if the filter is completely hidden behind the wheelwell and fit in behind the bumper. Is that correct?
