Maybe it just wasn't a very popular color. I don't see many of them in my area either.

Mines silver frost metallic...I think it's an awesome color. It think they are just harder to find because (don't quote me on this...) silver and red were the "rarest" colors. I remember when my dad bought this car back in '89, the window sticker said that the "metallic" paint was an extra $500 or so option. Could be the same way with the red too. In omaha, If you have a red car, it makes your insurance go up (same with yellow, etc)

Nice looking car. I can't even find Silver for sale in the classifieds, I don't want to paint one, but It seems the only way I'll get a 3rd gen that color.

Yeah the silver is awesome. I think the most common colors are white, black and pearl white.

I'd love to find a silver, dark blue or green one.

Yeah I so wish that It could have been dark blue. At one point, I was almost going to get the car painted "Pearl Blue Metallic" Which is the OEM blue color on the 2000 mustang GT's. It's a beautiful color, but instead I just got parts of my car repainted (side moldings, front/back bumpers, etc). Then someone has to read end me and it gets repainted again!. I didn't because it cost's like $2000-$4000 to do that. $4000 worth of mods could easily give me 100+ hp at the crank (not n/a). hehe...
