When to shift?

Ok my car is stock but i was wondering when you guys shift. At the redline or around 4500 or 5000 since we have no top end. When running 0-60 whats the best and when doing a 1/4 mile run do you shift into 3rd or leave it in 2nd at high rpms. I know you will probably tell me to search, but i did and no one really said anything. I think this is something that is beneficial to everyone. Thanks

I don't believe everyone should shift when they get to the same particular rpm. Our cars aren't all in the same exact condition. Go with the flow and if you have been driving a stick for a while, you will know at what engine speed(rpm) yur car starts losing power. So in other words, know your car and it's limitations.
