stering wheel

I replaced my steering wheel with one from the Grant Company. The installation kit, seperate from the steering wheel, comes with everything you will need. You don't have to splice or cut any wires. All you do is attached the negative wire from the kit to the new steering wheel horn. That's all. It took me 30 minutes tops to remove and install the new wheel.

so... you can still have an aftermarket wheel, if you want to sacrifice the airbag. but you can sell the airbag and make good money on it too, maybe even to pay off the new wheel. my friends brother sold his airbag off his 99 civic and it paid for his new wheel AND he had extra money left.

yeah, well it depends on what you want, safety, or performance/looks. he just insinuated, or thats what i thought, that he couldnt get an aftermarket wheel, and i just informed him that he could.

I thought it was illegal to tamper w/ the airbag system and you could only have one if you didn't have a steering wheel........ don't flame me either, i'm only 13 (i love that excuse)

well.... I HAD an airbag so i took it out
the steering wheel comes with no instructions whatsoever

i've done numerous steering wheel installs before and have had
no problems, because all the other cars have a standard horn wiring
system... but for some reason nissan decided to use this funky
wire spool system for their horn/cruise/airbag wires

i've heard of many of my friends getting screwed over by the
airbag, and I don't want to deal with it... you know legally
you guys should be bringing in your airbags for check/recharges..
it's been 10 years

so instead of worrying about the hassle of an airbag punching me in
the face and having the gas burn holes in my arms, i've decided
to take it out

yah its true if your state has car inspections and your vehicle has factory equipped Air bags. it is illegal to remove such device's and if you do your car wont pass inspection
