geez, it's like the 4th genners have dropped their curse onto us. everyone out there be careful and watch out for escorts! Glad to see that DaBox and Blackandwhite are ok though. Our cars can take some impact pretty good if they both sustained no major. injuries. I hope everything works out.

Thanks for the support guys. I dont know whats going to happen right away with this, but I will be speaking with my insurance co tomorrow. I have already been looking for another car but its just sad for me to do because the last thing I wanted to go is replace my max. I invested nothing but work and time into it. Most of all though, my max paid me back by saving my life. I have been looking through ads for a VE 5spd and found 2. Im gonna call and see when I can take a look at them. As far as the guys in the escort, I got their plates and I will def be tracking them down. (have any of you seen Changing Lanes?) I dont think I will be getting a minima, I would never want to put the curse on any of you guys

i feel for you. i hope your ins co is good. we have a similar story...300zx lost control and ran us off the road...our altima's gone now...Allstate assessed the car very well, but since we had $1000 deductible, we only got a lil over 2k. CHP said we have 2 witnesses so it's not 100% our fault and should be considered "hit and run" or "uninsured motorist" in which the ins co should pay us the full value. oh wells
pics from our crash (note the mods in the sig)
http://www.altimas.net/forum/showthr...threadid=27355
since the crash, we bought and sold a 97 sentra gxe auto...too weak and too small. And now we got a 95 altima se 5sp.
hope u find the bastard!

Thats a really good find if it's in good condition. I just saw your pics and jeez, your front end got torn up. Are you still hurting bad? As I keep on saying, our cars can take a lick and keep us safe.

I went to the car yesterday and the guy there at the tow yard let me go in and remove some stuff from the car. He was on call, so I didnt have a long time to work with. But basically, I went up there with my stock rims, and swapped them right off the car. All 4 rims were amazingly undamaged. I removed my stereo and speakers. We then attempted to take the FSTB off and the bolts wouldnt move, they guy came out with some tools and started helping me and my friends. He was very cool. We ran out of time and had to leave, but he told me that if I wanted to, he could let me use his air tools to get any other mods off. So, I will try to go back today or tomorrow to see if I can get my exhaust and RSB off. I hope they will be easy to take off.

I am also going to go look at the possible new car. If its in as good condition as he says it is, my deposit is going down right there!

Sorry to hear about your accident. I am glad that you are ok, and could walk away from the accident. In your original post about the accident you said you were worried about who would go through the car at the junk yard. If you are like most of us and our cars you probably took alot of pictures. If you find things missing on the car, and you have pics to prove they were on it, you will be able to be reimbursed for it as theft most likely. The car is still yours until the insurance company buys it from you, so no one can touch it.

The new car looks to be a Loaded Grey 1994 SE 5spd for around $3500. I am definitely going to get a VE and stay within the 3rd gen family. As far as mods go, I hope to get the rest of them soon.

I just heard about this at the meet yesterday. Never saw this thread before. I asked a couple people where Clark was when I saw the NE guys roll in and someone said, "Didn't you hear? His car got totalled the other night." Damn, I'm glad the two of you are ok. That looked like quite a lick. Solid car though. Very little damage behind the front wheels. That's the important part.
Take care.

Hmm.. lets go hunting. I was gonna say if you needed help taking your car apart to gimme a call and I'd meet you there or something but you're already a few steps ahead of me. Where's the VE you're looking at?
