Underbody kit

HI i did a search but i found nothing can anyone help me if its legal to have Neon underbody kit?? and if its legal to have those other color bulbs except yellow i live in iL and i will appereciate all the help. A website with laws for cars will be ok or any help. Thanks Maxima rocks!!

I think it depends what state you live in. I live in CA, and it's fine to have underbody neons. My friend has underbody neons and one time he went up to a Sheriff and asked him if it's ok to have them on. Sheriff said it's ok. Don't know about the colored bulbs though. Just call your local police station and ask them if it's ok, that way you'll find out for sure.

I'm pretty sure that they are illegal in most states, but thats only when you are moving. You can sit in a parking lot with them on all day long, but once you start moving, they can bust you if its illegal in your state.

the deal is this...atleast in florida..if you have an underbody kit its cool as long as its not red blue or maybe yellow...about the colored bulbs...the turning signals have to be amber and the back up lights im not sure about. I've changed all bulbs in the car to green...of course i had to rip out the yellow in the tails and buy clear corners but nothing serious...looks really nice when all the colors are the same. IMO.
