Hi all:

Recently, I bought a 89' SE with 130,000 miles, white, blue lights, leather, K&N, Dynomax. What type of maintenance do you recommend in regards to engine and transmission. What type of oil, oil filter do you recommend for oil changes? Any other tips will be greatly appreciated.

I wouldnt go synthetic

if you car has over like 100k..i duno, from my experience synthetic burns easier in higher milage engines. Iv seen 2 examples of higher milage motors that started smoking under load after synthetic...and stopped (or slowed down) when i put the regular back in. I duno, just my experience
I use only Nissan oil filters

My 3 - year experience

Castrol GTX-5 Lightec 10W40 and Unocal 76 75W90 (manual tranny) all seasons, Nissan filters, Castrol TQ-D for power steering, Unocal 76 anti-rust/pump lube additive to the coolant (after leaky pump replacement - a good idea, surely), DOT-4 brake and clutch fluid.
Important: timing belt replacement
