Well Guys My time has come as well..........mods for sale too
I had just about finished putting all the bolt-on performance mods on my car and now this happens........... I was on my way to the NE meet with about 17 other maxes from the Wash. DC area and my tranny went!!!!!!!!
As we pull into the rest area to meet up, at 6:45 am, I turn out to be the only 3rd gen to make the trip to the meet from this area. DA-MAX is still working on his so that left me. I figured no big deal I am sure I can hold my own on this trip with all the other 4th and 5th gens. I was doing just fine keeping up with them and filming at the same time. We had made it to Baltimore and I was inline to pay my toll behind everyone else. They all pulled over on I-95 to wait and when I came out of the toll my car wouldn't shift into 3rd. It would just shift 1st, 2nd, and then when it shifted to 3rd the car would just rev all the way up. Needless to say I was ****ed. So I am now putting a new tranny in the car and it will be going up for sale in about a week or so. This is the 2nd one I have put in the car and I just cannot afford to do it anymore. All of my mods are for sale. You guys will need to send me your stock parts before I can send you the parts. I have been looking for a VE 5sp but we all know how that goes. But I did find a hell of a deal on a 98 I30 that is in perfect condition.

None of my audio is for sale but I am looking for a cheap head unit to put back in the car - even a stock one would be fine. I had to leave the 3rd gens, and I really don't like some things about the 4th gens but I do like the I30. If there is anything else I got on my sig that you guys want that I don't have listed here just shoot me an email. It has been a great 2 years with the 3rd Gens but it’s my time to move on.

man I knew it couldn't have been good when you told us it wouldn't get out of "safe mode"....luckily though you made it back to VA without it totally dying on you and thankfully we were only in Bmore!! man that sucks, but you got yourself up there in the N/A VG auto record books up there with the big boys with your 15.9!! but man it sucks, looks like I'm one of the last modded VG autos in DC.... 
at least you're staying in the familiy though with the I30!! you gonna make the BBQ next Saturday??and check your PMs bud!! can't wait to see the new ride

sorry to hear that man! I am about at the point you are, cept I have no problems, just kinda getting sick of the Ole maxima sorta, course that is why I keep plunking down more money for all the mods I am buying still of course!
If I could sell mine and pay it off and then go get this Poshe 928 I would in a heartbeat!

Yeah that drive back to VA was no fun The longer I had to drive in "safe mode" the madder I got. I wish I could come to the BBQ on Saturday but I gotta go to the beach with my girl. I have already told her that I will be going to the PA Meet. I might have to make a trip to Capitol sometime. They new car is so damn nice. But I need to get some darn mods on it 
As for everything forsale, most has been sold. I still have the SE Gauges if anyone is interested. Make me an offer or something. Its been great being on the 3rd gen site for so long but I guess all good things must come to an end sometime..... I am glad I managed to break into the 15's before I left the 3rd gens. To all of those with auto VG's easy on those trannys. The motors may be hard running but the Trannys arent!!!
