Top Speed
Whats up guys.
My friend says that a stock 92 se goes 138mph top speed.
I told him that that is very unlikely for a stock whip
could do that. Is there any place where I can show that he
is wrong? I tried searching but no luck. Thanks

Simple math!!!. My 94 SE is at 3500 rpm in 5th at 90 mph now if you double the tach speed...you would then double the MPH. That means if my car had a 7k redline I could do 180 mph. Now the Redline on a
92-94 SE is around 6700 rpm. So you are looking at a top speed in the high 170s.

The scary part about it is the Maximas drag co efficient is only .32
To give you a little to think about the 2002 Acura NSX yes NSX not RSX is .30
Meaning that with a couple of power adders a VE can actualy get up to the 170s I have no doubt in my mind that Brian H went as fast as he said.

I have a 1993 SE, that only has suspension work done, and the first night I had it, went out in the country, and hit 145. It pulled great to 130, then took a few miles to get it to 145. I need a CAI, chip, and exhaust!! I need more power!!
