someone's about to spend some money!!!

Not saying it's funny, but you'll need to rplace the tranny and it's not cheap.

Yeah, sounds like your tranny is nearly shot. Start looking for a good place to get it done at and diagnosed. Reverse is usually the fist gear to go. Is there any abnormalties when driving forward, such as slipping, hunting for gears, missed shifts, slipping inbetween shifts?

Your transmission is obviously on the way to death. You can't do anything to save it so don't even try to buy those additives.

You should stop driving the car. The next thing that will happen is that you'll get stuck somewhere and have to get it towed.

look into getting it rebuilt. If you really cant afford a rebuild, you can replace it with a used tranny. If you just replace it you're bound to have the same problems sooner or later. The time around after you get it fixed, add on a transmission cooler.

Yes do not use additives. I added some Slick 50 High Mileage honey in my tranny when I could tell it was going, and I think it ended up speeding up the breakdown of the transmission.
