owners manual

Hello all I recently purchased a 1992 Nissan Maxima from a local dealer the car is in excellent condition not a scratch runs great but a lot millage does not matter to me. The only thing is it did not come with an owners manual so that I can figure out all the features never mind that the original master key was not available either except a copy of the valet key. If anyone out there can help me out on how I can go about of getting these 2 items I would greatly be in your debt I already went to my nearest Nissan dealer for the keys they told me I would need the key codes in order to make a master however I did not know what or where to find this they said sometimes this code is found in your glove compartment but after checking there was nothing there my next step is to get a locksmith to figure this out for me on their suggestion. The car is power everything sunroof, alloy wheels, v6 engine, pioneer cd player with no manual, power antenna have to replace it 175.00 at Nissan dealer also need to replace thr fog lights. But if anyone out there has a owners manual that they dont need or if they can copy it or a PDF file on it that would be great.

Thanks all

Best Regards

Re: owners manual

Welcome Jerry,

I suggest you check e-bay..that's how I got my owners manual. Salvage yards will likely have them too. Do you have keypad entry? In the dash under glovebox is where the code for that is..saw this on a recent post. As for the power antenna, yuo coould pay the 175 and have it done, or you could get the part and replace it yourself. Get a Haynes or Chilton manual for this type of step by step repair. Best of luck with the new ride!

go to craigs site and see the differences to tell what you have but if it doesnt have a keypad entry its an SE (I have never seen a GXE without the keypad).
here is Craigs page go to how too and look under "Model and Year Comparsion for 3rd gen Maxima" Good info there so look around at some of the other stuff because you are probably going to need some of it one day.
