Brake Question

i just recently changed my rear brake pads and took the rotors to get machined because of some fine pitting...anyways, when i went to have them machined one was too thin, so i bought the Brembo OE replacements from jagworks.com....anyways, since i changed all four rotors there is a rubbing noise consistently when driving...could it just be everything needs to settle back together since all four rotors are now thicker?

thanks in advance

Re: Brake Question

i'm not sure on this, but i think the pad never really comes off the rotor except from being pushed off sorta from the spinning. i mean, when you step on the brake the pad is pushed against the rotor to stop it (obviously) but when you let up on the brake i don't think there is actually anything the pulled the pad back, so it stays on the rotor (not pressed against it with any pressure, just kinda sitting there) until it starts spinning and kinda causes it to move off it a little. i'm not sure where, but i remember learning that that is how disk brakes worked, and there could be some rubbing noise from that.
plus like you said, it might just have to settle in a little cause they're new.

Re: Brake Question

my first thoughts are pitted caliper pistons or stuck slides.
